Giving

How do I give to the work of the church?

If you would like to support the work we’re doing to spread the gospel of our Lord, Saviour, and Treasure, Jesus Christ, you can give in one of two ways:

1. Giving Box
Place your contribution in the Giving Box on the Welcome Table in the foyer at any time during our Sunday morning service.

2. Bank Transfer
Make a deposit into the following account:
Shore Baptist Church
03 0114 0175458 000

For receipt purposes, please include your name and the purpose of the payment in the reference field.
Example: A. Smith, Offering

When are tax receipts given out?

Tax receipts are issued after the end of each financial year (31 March).

Are financial accounts available?

A summary of income and expenses is made available at each members’ meeting and congregational meeting. We aim to be open and transparent as stewards of the financial gifts entrusted to us.

If I know of a particular financial need, who do I speak to?

Please speak to one of our elders or deacons.

Is my donation to Shore Baptist Church tax-deductible?

Yes. Shore Baptist Church is a donee organisation, registered with the Charities Commission (Registration Number: CC46074). Our charitable purpose is the promotion of religion, wholly or mainly in New Zealand.

On request, general donations made by identified donors qualify for an annual receipt, which can be used to claim a tax credit using the IR526 form.

Please note:
Donations specified for particular funding projects will be applied accordingly.
However, if the specified project is overseas, the receipt issued will not qualify for a tax credit claim.

Who should I contact with questions about giving?

Please contact Nancy, our Treasurer, at accounts@shorebaptist.org.nz
