Testimony of Debra Wang
He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.
And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.

God is love; God is kind; God is patient. Praise God. He has been working in my heart in the last 10 years and gradually changed me from an unbeliever to ‘God’s person’.
I was born in a country where people don’t believe in Jesus. We’ve been taught that there is no God in this world and we should only believe in ourselves. I joined the communist party when I was in school because it meant I could get more advantages. In order to pursue materialism and a kind of blurred belief, I lost myself. I had a termination for my job; I drank alcohol in the name of my job; I ignored my husband and family and complained that he didn’t understand me. But thanks be to God – he saved us before we had a big family problem.
Thanks to my husband. He came to New Zealand first and quickly joined the church and became a believer. He started to work on me and tried to bring me to this country. After a hard two years, I finally decided to come and just have a look. I first started to come to this church, to read the Bible, to understand there is God and he is almighty. Thanks to all the people in our church; they showed me what a Christian life is about, and they helped me to understand God and the gospel.
We have been blessed with our sons. They are miracles to us. When I almost lost my confidence, God showed us that nothing is impossible for him. When I went back to China again and tried to live there with my sons, God again took me back in a patient way. After I had my daughter, I knew that nothing could separate me from my family and this country. God slowly changed my heart and drew me closer to him.
After I started to walk with the Lord Jesus, my life completely changed. I started to love my husband, respect him and allow him to lead us. I don’t see my job as above everything else in my life. I am happy that we now have a happy family and are following Jesus Christ-the almighty God.
If Jesus took a sinner like me and made me clean, he can do the same for anybody willing to repent of their sins and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. Follow him. Repent, and believe the gospel.
